These mourning doves in Daniel, Wyoming, are hard to spot when they are on the ground. I knew they were out there, but I couldn’t find them.
Suddenly, a rumble of thunder shook the ground and spooked them. There were 100 mourning doves in the air. To be honest with you, the thunder scared me too. I felt it. The majority of them left the place. Some came back, but they were anxious to be on the ground. They were hanging on the fence for like 15 minutes.
I couldn't resist taking a photo of them chilling on the fence.
It was beautiful to see them and live that experience with my little friends.
