Cypripedium 'Lady Dorine' is a fascinating 2008 introduction from J. Opstaele, who crossed the Chinese Cypripedium fasciolatum with the Taiwanese Cypripedium formosanum. The 1' tall stalks are topped with large white pouches, occasionally lightly flecked with purple and backed by white sepals. Cypripedium 'Lady Dorine' multiplies nicely when happy in a well drained, slightly moist soil. Due to the Cypripedium formosanum parent, Cypripedium 'Lady Dorine' may try to emerge earlier than other lady slipper orchids, so protect emerging plants if late freezes are predicted after they break dormancy. Our offerings are all flowering-sized plants.
